How do I book a HomeStay on HimValley?

Search by location, dates and guests, then open a listing you like. Choose your room, confirm the stay dates and complete the booking. You will receive a confirmation by email (and WhatsApp if that is enabled). Keep the host’s check-in notes from your booking for arrival.

Are the homestays verified?

Yes. New listings stay pending until HimValley reviews them. Hosts are asked for accurate photos, location and, where available, a HomeStay Certificate. Only published stays appear in search and on location pages.

What is included in a typical stay?

Each listing shows rooms, amenities, meals, heating, hot water and house rules. Mountain stays often include extra blankets in winter and help with local taxis or walking routes. Always read the listing details, because inclusions differ from host to host.

How do cancellations and refunds work?

Cancellation rules depend on the listing and how close you are to check-in. You can review them before you pay and again in your booking history. If you need to change dates, contact the host through HimValley and our support team if you cannot agree a change.

How do hosts receive payment?

Guest payments are collected through HimValley. Host payouts are sent to the bank or UPI details saved in the host dashboard, on the schedule shown there. Keep those details up to date. Do not ask guests to pay outside the platform.

How do I list my property as a host?

Go to List Your Property, create a host account and add your HomeStay with photos, rooms, location and house rules. Submit the listing for approval. It will not appear in search until HimValley publishes it. See Host Guidelines for what we expect from hosts.

How do I update rooms or availability?

Log in to your host dashboard, open My HomeStay and Rooms, then edit dates, prices and room details. Keep the calendar current so guests cannot book nights you cannot honour. Changes to a published listing should stay accurate; major changes may be reviewed.

Which places in Himachal can I stay?

HimValley lists verified homestays in mountain towns and villages such as Mcleodganj, Dharamshala, Dalhousie, Khajjiar, Chamba and Bharmour. Use Locations on the website or search by place name to see what is available for your dates.
